المنطقة الــ.زلزالية هي تلك التي تشهد نشاطًا زلزاليًا متكررًا

بسبب حركة الصفائح التكتونية، وتتعرض لزلازل متوسطة إلى قوية

قد ينتج عنها خسائر كبيرة في بعض الأحيان، لا سيما إذا كانت ضحلة ومركزها قريب من المناطق السكنية.
